It began a little over a year ago, my first framed art piece. I saw a Christmas one that I loved and had to make. Completed it, then made a Valentine’s Day one and another and as you can see I am still creating them. After the holidays, I knew a snow themed framed art piece was needed for my collection. My customers felt the same way.
Snow Themed Framed Art
When I knew I would be creating a snow themed framed art after the holiday, I focused on using items that were still current. I did have to reach for a few newly retired items but a good portion of the products I used are current. The second thought process was picking my colors. Fortunately, Stampin’ Up! has 12×12 assorted family paper packs. I immediately picked Soft Sky for the background and felt Night of Navy stood out more that Smoky Slate. Added Powder Pink and Smokey Slate and I was on my way. Creating 3×3 squares are a delight. Everything just seems to pop when added to it.
A Variety of Product:
The product list is provided at the bottom of this post. Yes, it is long but I wanted to include everything. Grab your supplies and start creating. If you are missing any, head to my store and place them in your cart. It is the perfect time to purchase the product with Sale-a-bration in full swing! Love being rewarded for every $50 spent!!! YAY!!!
Details:
I love adding small details to each square. The details just make it more unique. The Stitched Shapes Framelits are one of my ALL TIME favorite items. I love the stitched edge, it just dresses up the shape and adds some dimension. Glimmer paper adds extra bling along with the addition of rhinestones! Embossing folders turn plain pieces of cardstock into a WOW! Look at the coffee cup in the top right corner, it was boring plain. I ran it through the Big Shot with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder and it came to life. A simple folder makes all the difference.
Prep Work:
The Framed Art Class was recently held in my home. A house filled with Stampin’ Up! customers is one of the best things! With each class, I try to make completing each square “easy”. I normally only have my framed art and we pass it around all night. This time, as I prepped for class, I completed the square and placed it on a clip in the basket of supplies. It was a hit! Prep work is well worth the time invested!
The End Result:
While everyone was working, I tried to capture the moment but I was often distracted. It is always a night filled with laughs and smiles when EVERYONE leaves with a finished masterpiece. I truly love what I do and I am blessed I can share it with so many of you. If you are not on my mailing list, please contact me so I can add you. I do offer class to go on most of my classes….

WOW!! This is absolutely gorgeous! You do a great job on your projects!
Thank you so much! I am so glad you like it! It was fun to create. I just made a cute Valentine’s Day one for my bingo event coming up – it’s smaller only 8×8. I will post it sometime this week. 🙂 Thank you again!
