It is never an easy task to create a card for someone who has recently suffered a loss. Thankfully, Stampin’ Up! has a variety of stamps for making a card for this occasion. I knew the Sorry for Everything Stamp Set was my choice for the sentiment but what to pair it with. As you can see, The Painted Harvest Sympathy Card was the right pick.
The Painted Harvest Sympathy Card
The Painted Harvest Stamp Set was introduced in the Holiday Catalog. Thank goodness it is moving forward and still available after many of the holiday items are retiring. Have you seen all the projects created with it? In the card shown above, I chose Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Chocolate Chip Ink for the sunflower. I have used the Wood Textures Designer Series Stack numerous times but NEVER stamped on it and all I can say is WOW!!!! I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. Loved it so much, I had to experiment with other colors!
Variety of Colors:
My favorite color is pretty much any shade of blue. I have seen the Painted harvest stamped in blue shades and I had to try it. Marina Mist, Night of Navy and Chocolate Chip look awesome. I hope from my picture you can see it too. The third choice was Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst with Chocolate Chip, which I tend to not be a pink person but like the outcome. I am not sure if there is a color combination that the flower would look bad in. Experimenting was definitely fun and I am so happy to share it with you!
Sorry for Everything:
The Sorry for Everything Stamp Set has many sentiments to fit several occasions. It is a perfect addition to my collection of stamp sets. I love the bold “Sorry.”
Video on making the card!
I couldn’t stop creating the card once I started, so I quickly put my video stand together and made a video of my stamping the card! You will see I share several tips about the card from start to finish.
