It’s getting close to December and that means Christmas Cards are in full swing.  This past weekend I created 9 holiday cards.  I made five for my Holiday Stamp-a-Stack and four for my monthly Christmas Card Club.  I may have to combine creations in posts to get them all in!

Holiday Stamp-a-Stack

The picture gives a snapshot of the 5 cards included in my Stamp-a-Stack.  I love the variety Stampin’ Up! offers with its holiday products.   I’m not sure which Note Card is my favorite.  Can’t wait to see which one is the overall winner at class!

Merry Little Labels Bundle:

The first card in my Stamp-a-Stack features the Merry Little Labels Bundle.  The whole product suite of the Merry Little Christmas highlights the colors of Old Olive, Basic Black and Whisper White.  I normally do not focus on black and white for a holiday card, however, the stamp paired with the Merry Little Christmas Designer Paper and a hint of Real Red was a welcome surprise.  Actually, the Real Red behind the sentiment could easily be switched with numerous colors.  FYI, I simply cut the Real Red in half (vertically) and slightly separated it before adhering it to the back of the words.  Simple but effective!

Foil Snowflakes:

One of the hottest items this holiday season is the Foil Snowflakes!  In each package, there are 12 gold and 12 silver Foil Snowflakes that add shine to any project.  On my card, I cut the silver foil snowflake in half and tucked it under the Striped Ribbon that is part of the Merry Little Christmas Suite.

Note Cards:

Whenever I hold a Stamp-a-Stack class I use the Stampin’ Up! Note Cards.  Why?  I absolutely love them.  The Note Cards come 20 in a pack with 20 envelopes.  Although smaller than a normal card, in the US they can be placed in the mail.  I have found by placing a solid cardstock layer first, I can use Designer Series Paper as my top layer.  From one sheet of 12×12, I am able to cut for 10 cards.  Not a bad thing, right?  On today’s card, I was able to get 20 cards from sheet since I used 2 patterns from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper.  To show you if I was using the whole piece, this is how you would cut your 12×12.
