My monthly team meeting is always a day I look forward to. I love seeing my team, how they interact, how they listen to each others stories, how they share their the creations. The time passes quickly but so much happens during the 3 hours we spend together. A highlight of the meeting is our monthly Team Meeting Card Swap. I love seeing their creativity.
Colorful Seasons Bundle for the Card Swap!
When the fall leaves/fall flowers theme was announced for our team meeting, I knew right away I was reaching for my Colorful Seasons Bundle. It has every season present!
I love the leaves in the set because it includes a framelit as well as a detailed thinlit. In case you are not aware, a framelit cuts the shape of the object. The Cajun Craze, Garden Green and Island Indigo Leaves are considered a framelit. A thinlit, the Gold Foil Leaf, is more delicate and has a lot more detail. Trying not to confuse you, if both are present in a collection, the “thinlit” name wins. The Season Layers Thinlits are a must have this season! (It’s part of the Colorful Seasons Bundle 🙂 ) Using a sponge dauber in Early Espresso, it created a dramatic effect to the colored card stock. Lastly, some burlap ribbon with a simple knot to complete the card.
Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Pack:
Most of the time, I struggle with “realistic” images. Although I love the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Pack, I flip through it trying to figure out how to use it. I know others do not even think about it and make BEAUTIFUL projects with it. For me, I sit, stare, think, try, however, FINALLY I used it and I love the outcome on my team meeting cards. I hope you do too!
Team Meeting Card Swap:
Of course, I have to share the collection of cards from the talented demonstrators on my team. One team member had an emergency at work and her fall themed card swap is missing from the picture.
From the picture you can see an assortment of product was used. The “Fall” Painted Harvest Card made by Susan was voted as the overall winner. Do you love the eclipse technique? I haven’t had time to create my own but it’s on the list. Susan is very creative and I am fortunate to have her on my team.
