Today, I have to start with an apology.  I have spelling errors or grammar mistakes on my website but that’s me.  Far from perfect, I just love sharing with you and although I look over my post a hundred times, the hundred and one time, I find the error.  I do fix them and I hope you bare with me and accept me, flaws and all.  🙂  With that being said, yesterday, I posted my monthly Stampers Dozen Blog Hop featuring In Colors Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide.  I love using the Vintage Leaves Stamp Set for Fall cards EVERY year.  Coming up with new color combinations, turns a past stamp set into a new stamp set!  Also, I love recreating a past card with new colors and TODAY, you will see that!

Recreating a past card with new colors!

The Vintage Leaves Stamp Set and the coordinating Leaflets Framelits are wonderful to create Fall related cards. Whether you use the stamps or framelits, the end results always delivers a smile!  I made this card once before and even did a video.  I recreated the card using new colors AND a NEW video.  For my card, I used the large Maple Leaf from the Leaflets Framelits Collection.

A Closer Look:

By using sponge daubers, they make it easier to blend colors.  Stampin’ Sponges could be used as well.  On the video, I created a mask to fit over my Very Vanilla (3 3/4″ x 5″) card stock layer.  Starting with Crumb Cake, I sponged around the inside of the leaf mask.  Next, Blushing Bride was added and lastly, Calypso Coral. I am very happy with the end result.  Oh, have I mentioned I love ribbon…look at the Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon! ♥

Yes, a video!!

One more combinations!

While I was working on my Stampers Dozen Blog Hop, I was experimenting with designs and I made today’s card in the Fresh Fig, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide.  A little more dramatic with color, but it works!
