Well, I had my post all done, maintenance hit and my post did not save 🙁 All is good, at least the website was not lost and I can just redo today’s post.  The Holiday Catalog went live just 2 days ago.  It is packed with wonderful products that I am not sure where to start!  Today, I am sharing a new card featuring the Painted Harvest Bundle.  I have fallen in love with this bundle and the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.  All of it will be on your wish list, trust me!

New Card Featuring Painted Harvest Bundle:

As you can see the bundle includes a NEW leaf punch.  It is an awesome addition to our punch collection. The flower, there is no punch or framelit, so you will have to do a little fussy cutting.  BUT, if you don’t want to cut, use a circle punch or framelit to make your embellishment pop!   I love how detailed the flower stamps.  I used 2 colors, one lighter (Peekaboo Peach) and one darker (Cajun Craze) to be more dramatic.  I have seen the flower in many color options and I love all of them.  Stampin’ Up! has a great collection of colors that making any combination will turn into a perfect creation!  By the way, I have to give inspirational credit to my friend Rhonda for this card.  It caught my eye and I had to create my own version.

Painted Harvest Bundle:

As you can see the stamp set offers a variety of images that easily work for fall related projects.  For my greeting I used the oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The new Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder adds pop to the background.  If you haven’t noticed the dots are smaller and seem higher in dimension then our previous polka dot folder.  Finishing out my card with a touch of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper and Crumb Cake Ribbon.

Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper:

Are you looking at the beautiful pattern paper on the gift bag?  That is part of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.  It is vibrant with colors and so many patterns to welcome the fall season.  Each pattern compliments one another.  Do you have a favorite?

A closer look:

A little trick I find with fussy cutting, is to cut continuously around the image.  I rotate the flower never letting the scissor to leave the paper until I am done.  If you leave a small border, you won’t notice if you are “uneven.”

I try to make my cards technically simple and duplicatable.  Seldom do I provide measurements to my creations. Honestly, I just forget to include them.  Nothing like starting today 🙂

• Crumb Cake card base cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
• score with the 8 1/2″ along the top at 4 1/4″
• cut the Early Espresso at 5″ x 3 3/4″
• cut Very Vanilla at 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″

Normally, each layer is 1 /4″ smaller.  I am happy I took 1/2″ off the Early Espresso layer, showing more of the Crumb Cake Border.
