Recently, I received items from the Whole Lot of Lovely Suite. One word – WOW! I am in love with this suite! I do not have all the pieces offered on page 86 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, but the pieces I have, I am in LOVE!! The Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper is absolutely stunning. The color combinations on the 12 sheets are amazing. I created not one but 2 groups of cards because I loved so many of the patterns. In the first post I will highlight one pairing and the next post will highlight the other color combination as well as a VIDEO! I hope you fall in love with the Whole Lot of Lovely Suite too!
The Whole Lot of Lovely Product Suite:
The first thing I did was look at the back of the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper and pulled the solid card stock that coordinated. Did you know that Stampin’ Up! lists the colors in the patterns on the back of all Designer Series Paper Packs? The Basic Black patterned papers caught my eye right away. I stayed away from using Basic Black as my card base. Not sure why, just knew it was to be a accent color not the card base. I narrowed it down and created 3 different color combinations from the SAME Designer Series Paper. What do you think? Does one combination stand out more than the another?
Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper:
The colors throughout the patterns in this pack are amazing. Even today, I am looking at the patterns wanting to create a scrap book page. Is there ever enough time! Back to the paper – which is your favorite?
To make the banners, you will need 5 strips of the pattern paper.
- 1 pattern strip 1 1/2″ x 12″ (black with green vines and small flowers)
- 2 pattern strips 1 1/4″ (large floral print one with the black background and the other with white background)
- 2 pattern strips 1″ (pear pizzazz leaf pattern and crushed curry floral pattern)
Next, you will cut the strips to 4″ making 3 piles so you can create 3 cards from 12 x 12 piece of paper! YAY!! Love maximizing my supplies.
I used my Triple Banner Punch on all the strips. I did slightly trim the 1″ strips with my paper snips after I put them in the punch but before overlapping.
Lots of Love Stamp Set:
The images are solid, meaning it will take on the color you stamp with. I love the flower, love the thinking of you that can easily be used with our 1 1/2″ Circle Punch and the heart fits with the Sweet and Sassy Framelits!
Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder:
I am in love with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder. The texture goes deep into the card stock although I covered it with my banners! Using these new Impression Folders add dimension to any project you create! The following video from Home office provides a few helpful tips when using the folder! I will admit, I do use water but next time I will try it. I love the samples in the video are from the Whole Lot of Lovely Suite! Perfect 🙂
The Last Details:
By keeping the sentiment small, it did not cover too much of the pattern paper. The sentiment fits with our circle punches making it simple to finish out my card. I love I added the small flower to the center. I hope you love how the cards turned out as much as me!
