When the retiring list is posted in April, I tend to look it over and figure out which stamp sets I want to create with. Last week I made creations with the Flower Patch Stamp Set and truly enjoyed it. This week, I grabbed my Grateful Bunch Photopolymer Stamp Set with the idea of just using our Black Archival Ink. It seems to be in, the black and white look and I wanted to keep it simple. There are times keeping the card simple and clean makes the perfect creation. Grateful Bunch has two main flower stars, a single flower and one trio of flowers. The trio of flowers stamp has a coordinating punch that is also leaving us. I will be sharing cards I made previously with the set to give you more examples.
To color the flower, I used aqua painters and reinkers. I could of easily used our watercolor pencils or even markers but I am determined to get better at watercoloring. I feel it’s a weak spot in my crafting. Practice makes perfect, right? I added a small amount of ribbon with NO BOW just for some textured. I did add Wink of Stella to the flower but I can’t get it to show in the picture.
Honestly, it took less than 15 minutes to create two…have a vision, run with it and get it done! I am going to make a few more because I love how the stamp looks in black! I just checked the online store and The Grateful Bunch Photopolymer Stamp Set is currently $21 and the coordinating Blossom Bunch Punch is $9!!! It’s half price! What a great deal!
Here are three cards I made last year for a class. Although there are retired products on the cards, I wanted to include them to show you the variety of projects I created. Supplies can easily be switched for the same effect. The website watermarked on the pictures has been updated to www.bonniestamped.stampinup.net.
In this card below, the Cottage Greeting Stamp Set and the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder are both retiring. I LOVE the font in Cottage Greetings!
I also held a class making an accordion album with the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set and Blossom Bunch Punch. I had a video showing the pages with pictures but can’t seem to get it off Facebook to share with you. I did find my class announcement to share the project. I absolutely love my album. I put pictures from the Getaway Trip to Newport Beach that I earned from Stampin’ Up! It was an excellent choice to highlight an awesome trip!
