I need to apologize for not posting the last few days. My best friend from college was at a work conference in NYC and I went to spend a few days in NYC with her. Outside of Penn Station I spotted the pretty flower beds filled with tulips and pansies. Although it was an overcast day, they sure did add some brightness and were rich in color.
Empire State Building on my way to Times Square…
At night the lights are bright and it seems like daytime in Times Square but if you walk a few blocks away and look up.
The view from the room…so many lights!
On Tuesday, Toni had some free time before heading back to Maryland, we decided to go do some sightseeing. We made it to Washington Square.
It was a beautiful day to wander the park.
Next we headed over to Union Square Park. Many people out enjoying the sunny warm weather. (including me!)
Heading to meet another friend, Toni and I came across St. Francis Xavier Church on 16th Street. AMAZING….I am still in awe thinking about of this church and looking at my pictures.
We headed into Chelsea Market after the church, neither of us had been there before and plan to go back next time. It was such a quaint place filled with shops and places to eat. We walked the Highline to 23rd, grabbed a bite to eat and back uptown! Believe it or not, off to Central Park! I didn’t take many pictures here, just sat under this for some time enjoying the day.
Many stopped at this flower for a picture opt…we looked up the flower, to find it’s name is Wisteria. Hey, Stampin’ Up! has a color named Wisteria Wonder. It fits the plant!
It was a great few days of sharing stories both new and old with several friends that joined us. Smiling, laughing and just being happy are so good for one’s soul. I hope you did not mind me sharing some of my pictures. Looking back on many, they bring a smile to face and warm my heart. I am looking forward to scrap booking some of the highlights. I am a very lucky girl!
Have a good one!
Bonnie
