What is the best way to show you that a FREE stamp set can have many looks?  Telling you how awesome the Avant Garden Stamp Set is not enough.  However, creating cards and sharing them are effective ways to prove how wonderful and versatile this particular stamp set is.  I shared one card in yesterday’s post.  For today’s card, I kept with the Sweet Sugar Plum, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive colors but added Pool Party.  The main reason for adding Pool Party, was because I finally ordered more satin stitched ribbon in the color!  (Remember it’s always about the ribbon with me!  It’s the mascara to my card!)

What to know the steps to make this card?  I stamped a few flowers on the Whisper White card stock for some “shadowing” effect.  I then stamped extra flowers on a separate piece of card stock in both Pool Party and Sweet Sugar Plum.  (Some were stamped off to create the lighter shaded flowers.)  Always looking to add dimension to my card, I cut the flowers and layered them over the stamped images.  The hardest part of this card is the placement.  You don’t want to hide too much of the flower. Lastly, add in a few leaves to give it a pop of Old Olive.  The color combination is making me wish for spring.
