I seem to be on a flower kick! It might be because of the weather here on Long Island is cloudy and cold! After a few attempts of 2 step stamping, I reached for my sponge daubers to create a different effect on the large flower from the Special Reason Bundle. The Pool Party/Bermuda Bay color combination creates a soft look, while the Daffodil Delight/Calypso Coral is a bit more dramatic By using the sponge daubers, you can dab the darker color onto the stamp already inked in the lighter color. Each one will come out slightly different. Make sure to clean in between each flower created. (You don’t want the dark ink in the lighter ink!)
You may have noticed, I usually add ribbon to my creations. To me, it is the mascara on my card! At first, I wasn’t a fan of the thick baker’s twine. However, I am loving it now because it adds just what I need to finish my card. Plus at $3.50 for 15 yards it is a so affordable! It comes in a variety of colors and of course, I have every color now!
