It’s January and that means time to start building my birthday card assortment. Have you written a list of your monthly birthdays? I am sure your family, friends or co-workers would truly appreciate a hand stamped card! Break out your supplies and start crafting! In this Happy Birthday Card, I used annual and occasions catalog products to complete it. The Flower Shop stamp set is definitely one of my go to stamp sets. The coordinating Pansy punch makes adding flowers to ANY card quick and easy! The NEW Party Animal DSP, is adding a little detail along with the Stitched Framelits that will be available later this month!! Stay tuned to when they will be released. LOVE THEM! The Happy Birthday saying is part of the NEW Window Shopping stamp set. Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake were my combo choice because I have a bunch of this pretty 3/8″ ruched ribbon. It’s always about the ribbon!!!!
I know the Flower Shop Stamp can be tricky…here’s little photo that may help with proper placement. Once you see the petal with 3 “bumps” identify it and on the punch as well. It will help you each and every time you use the stamp and make it a favorite.

Hi! I really like your cards using the flower shop stamp set. I have this set and the punch; was wondering what is your tip on using the punch to get such a nice punch out of the flowers. Do you have a video or information on this? Always have had a hard time getting it punched out in the right location. Thank you for any help you might have on working with this particular set – Kathy
Hi Kathy – I just made a collage of the flower shop and how you can identify the proper way to stamp and punch the stamp. I am adding it to the above message because I can’t seem to add a photo here. I hope it’s helpful. It definitely is as a “tricky” stamp in the beginning but once you find the one petal with the 3 bumps, you will find properly stamping it and punching it easier. I marked the back of my stamps to show the arrow is to point to me ( I do not put my labels on my stamps) and I also marked my punch for ease as well. Hope it helps 🙂 Thank you for asking!
I was a lucky recipient of this exact card in the mail today!! Thank you, dear friend for a beautiful card from a beautiful person!
Love you!
Hope you had a great birthday! Miss you!
I had almost given up on lining these flowers up with the punch! I am going compare your photo with what I have already tried. Thank you!
Let me know if you were able to figure it out. Once you “see” it, it is extremely better! 🙂
May I have you send me a catalog. I would love to see the items better. I really like the stamping up stamps, so I hope you can help me. My name is Betty Lund and my address is P.O. Box 114. Humboldt, Az 86329. Thank you. Betty
hello! I will place one in the mail on Tuesday! Thank you for asking 🙂
This is the stamp that started me off looking into Stampin Up and I’ve just bought someone’s retired set of these stamps and the punch.. I’m so glad I looked on Pinterest before I started stamping! The picture was a god send – thank you so much for sharing this
I loved this set. Sad it retired but glad you are enjoying it!
